About Us >>
Who are The Guardian Angels? You are! You, Your Neighbours and Your Friends.
We are a volunteer safety patrol team proactively helping to protect & safeguard our community. We carry out patrols on public transport, in cities, housing estates, & at community events. Our goal is to be a visual deterrent to crime and an example to encourage citizen involvement.
We bring together men and women of every colour, religion, physical ability and political affiliation. People who are willing to train and then devote time to being part of the solution to combat violence, crime & anti ssocial behaviour in their communities.

You will receive training in self defence, first aid, conflict management and patrol techniques prior to taking part in street patrols. We accept volunteers who are over 16 who can commit to attending training & patrols regularly and do not have a recent or serious criminal record and are not members of a gang or racial-hate group.

What Do We Do?

Our primary activity is community safety patrols in which our trained, uniformed, unarmed members walk the streets or ride on transportation systems in order to prevent crime.
Community Safety Patrols: The Guardian Angels are best known for their neighbourhood foot patrols. By walking around our neighbourhoods and talking with neighbours, business owners we create a visual deterrent to crime and serve as role models for activism and volunteering.

Clean-ups: Studies show that clean, well-kept, well-lit buildings and streets help keep communities safe. That's why Guardian Angels share their "can-do" spirit with youth to do graffiti and clean up patrols.
Stop Bullying Now: Guardian Angels help children and youth to come together and stand up against bullies. We empower potential victims to stand up against both verbal and physical bullying. We also work with bullies to help them redirect their leadership abilities toward helping their peers and communities rather than hurting others and themselves.

Leadership Training: Youth often come to the Angels for the FREE SELF-DEFENSE TRAINING they receive as part of their Guardian Angels Training. As they stay on to serve their communities, they discover in the Angels a source of pride, inspiration and ongoing meaningful challenges.

Why Do We Do What We Do?
Youth vandalism and crime. Bullying. Sexual harassment and violence against women. Violence and intimidation by extremist groups trying to force their will upon more moderate elements. Drug and alcohol abuse. Attacks between, against and among refugee populations. Human trafficking.
Like everywere in the Western world, communities all over the UK face issues like these every day. They affect every segment of society. The Guardian Angels are ready to help: to train and equip local leaders prepared to help their communities meet the challenges of preventing violence and fighting crime.
